A child born to J J Dollar and Margaret Isabelle Lowrance in Hill County, Texas.
Audra Mae Dollar is kinda of a mystery. I say mystery because where did we learn what her name is? There is only one piece of evidence that I can go on to prove of her existence is the 1910 census and that child could be a her or him.
In the 1910 census it is listed that Margaret Isabelle had 15 children and 11 living. Looking at her siblings listed below, we know that Melissa Alice, Maude Elizabeth, and Lottie Isabelle are three of the four children passed away. (We know their names due to someone seeing their cemetery records, which we need to find.) Family members and genealogists, did not catch this because they are listing her death date in 1987 and she had never married because the death certificate lists her last name as Dollar and no other. (I seriously doubt she lived to be 80 and never married. It could happen, but it is very rare.) In my assumption the death certificate is for someone else. If she lived to be 80 years old, why was she not listed with her brothers and sisters in the 1910 and 1920 census? If you look it jumps from Marcus to Wessie. Where's Audra? She would have been 3 years old in the 1910 census and 13 years old in the 1920 census.
So I summarize that Audra is the fourth child that passed away. Make only 11 children alive in 1910 when the census was taken.
But now here are the questions we need to ask ourselves.
1. Where did the name Audra Mae come from?
2. We can assume that she was born after May 1905 and before Dec of 1908, when her older brother and younger sister was born. Why not 1906? We need to discover actually birth date. The date of Jan 1907 is coming from the incorrect death certificate.
3. When did she passed away? We can deduced it was before the 1910 census.
4. Are we sure it was a baby girl?
We need to answer these questions before we can say, Audra Mae is Audra Mae.
