Nancy was born about 1845. She is the daughter of John Dollar and Mary Nelson.
Nancy lived with her parents in Meriwether County, Georgia and were there in 1850. Her grandfather had died in Meriwether County in 1833. Her grandmother, Hannah Dollar, died in 1853. Nancy's father was a legatee in the final settlement of the estate of his father, Joseph Dollar in July of 1856.
After 1856 Nancy moved to Tallapoosa County, Alabama with her family.
War came to the South and to Alabama in April of 1861.
Nancy had two brothers, John Henry and Joseph T. They both enlisted in the 34th Alabama Infantry and they went off to war.
Later in 1864 another of her brothers, William Elijah, enlisted in the Alabama Reserves that later became the 63rd Alabama Infantry and he was also off to war.
After the war Nancy moved to White County, Arkansas.
Nancy was married to Daniel Tucker Woodson in 1870. Daniel had three children from a previous marriage. They were married in White County, Arkansas. They were living in Des Arc Township in White County, Arkansas in 1880. Daniel was a blacksmith. They were living in Gray Township and Searcy City, White County, Arkansas in 1900. Her husband died in 1902.
Nancy and Daniel had the following known children:
note: The enumerator in 1910 put the initials D. T. for the motherinlaw of Hubert Coward. She was Mrs. D.T. Woodson. Her name was Nancy Louise Dollar before marriage.
