Biography

Clara (Dombrowsky) Geschke was born 26 Oct 1876 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio, the daughter of Martin Dombrowsky born Apr 1836/7 and Helen Kanalski (born 1846 and in 1880 but not in 1900 US Census with Martin and their 3 children: August born Aug 1871, Clara born Oct 1876, and Frank born Jun 1884).

Clara married Peter F. Geschke, Jr. (1879-1951) on 7 Mar 1901 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.^[1] Their children were:

1. Mathew William Geschke (1901–1999)^[2]
2. Alexander August Geschke (1904–1978)^[3]
3. Rose Martha (Geschke) Brendza (1907–1982)
4. Peter August Geschke (1909–1982)^[4]
5. Marie C. (Geschke) Pahler (1914–1995)^[5]

In the 1910 US Census Clara's father, Martin, aged 73 is living with her and Peter's family.

Clara passed away at age 72 in 1951 in St. John's Hospital in Cleveland, shortly after her husband's death.^[7] She was buried by her husband in Holy Cross Cemetery in Cleveland.^[8]
