Célonis Dominique was born in France in 1839 to a French father and an Italian mother. [1]

He immigrated to Louisiana, and in St. Landry Parish he married Alexandrine Desessarts on March 19, 1859.[2] [3]

  1. Leon A Dominique (1860)
  2. Felicie Alexandrine Dominique (1863)[4]
  3. Charles C. Dominique (1868-1939)[5]
  4. Mary Dominique (c.1871)[6]
  5. Blanche V Dominique (c.1872)[6]
  6. Henry A Dominique (c.1876)[6]

In 1880 he and Alexandrine resided in or near Opelousas, St. Landry Parish with six children and his belle-mere (mother-in-law).[6]
