Probably 99 % of this data was taken from Mildred Chapman Gibbs (Sep 15 1915 -Nov 14 2 000) "FROM CULPEPER COUNTY TO THE TE AYS VALLEY, The Story of The John and Jane Donaho Chapman Family and Those Related by Marriage." Revised version 1978, Hartford WV. This CFA version does not contain most of theextensive narrative in her work nor does it yet have most of the descen dants who were not named Chapman . We areworking towards adding that as well as extending her work using the two or three censuses released since her lastrevision. Reference notes to Mrs. Gibbs page num bers are sometimes included here like "mcg 5 " below. CFA is indebted to Joann B . Burnside Townsend who did the computer input for CFA . Joann is a descendant. The seventh generation was deleted to protect the privacy of most of the living. A previous request was made to merge the following two files and at the time there were some descrepancies that I wanted to look into. Please accept the following merger request as I do believe the two files represent the same person. Due to the error in Donahue-Donaho-1, this merge is being done in reverse per Wiki merging rules. Bio notes will need to be combined. The spelling of Donahue was found when researching as a possible alternative way of spelling Donaho. Both Jane's are shown to have been married in 1770, VA to John Chapman. Birth range is w/in 3 yrs with Donahue-Donaho-1 showing abt. 1750 and Donaho-87 showing 1753 Donahue-Donaho-1 shows as mother to John Linwood Chapman and Donaho-87 shows as mother to Henry Chapman. John L. Chapman and Henry Chapman were brothers and 2 of 7 children born to John Chapman and Jane Donaho.
