Mary R Donahue, known as "Minnie" was born in 1887 in Canada, the daughter of Irish immigrants Henry Donahue (1856-1925) and Annie Craige (1857-1931). They first immigrated to Canada, then came to the United States.

She married Frank Leslie Murphy on 21 Nov 1902 in Byron, Maine; they had thirteen known children.

Minnie died in Rumford, Maine in 1963 and is buried at the Farrington-Morton Cemetery, Mexico, Maine.
