She migrated from Ireland to the Miramichi region of New Brunswick and married Thomas Gorman in the early 1830s/Ireland

In 1881, Annie was in Lot 13 with Ellen, 42; Lawrence, 32, Bridget 38, John Joseph, 21 and Catherine, 12. [1] Annie was a shopkeeper. She was living with her daughter Ellen in 1891.
Her son Thomas, editor of the Ottawa Free Press, died in 1894. In his will, he left his sister Mrs William Brown $100, for the benefit of his mother, Mrs Annie Gorman.[2]
Gorman Mrs. Thomas [nee Anne Donahue] Died at the residence of her son, James Gorman, Esq., Glengarry, Lot 7, on Oct 29th, Anne Donahue, widow of the late Thomas Gorman, Esq., Tyne Valley, aged 93 years. Of her family of eleven children seven survive her, also thirty-three grandchildren, fifty-four great grand children, and one great great grand child. The four living sons are James in Glengarry; Lawrence in South Brewer, Maine; John in California; and Charles in Montreal; the daughters are Mrs. Wm. Brown, Port Hill; Mrs. Luke Hughes, Perth Amboy; and Mrs. Thomas O’Connon, South Brewer, Maine. The deceased was a person of more than ordinary intelligence, possessing a strong retentive memory and was well posted in the history written and unwritten of the hardships of the early settlers and the many of the political and social events of the past century. Her remains were laid to rest in St. Mark’s Cemetery, close by the “sounding wave,” the Rev. Dr. Burke celebrating the requiem mass. “Requiescat in pace.”[3]
