Note N278James Donahue was born on March 10, 1868 in Newark, Essex, New Jersey to Irish immigrants Patrick Donahue and Mary Doyle. He was christened at Saint Patricks Pro-Cathedral in Newark two days later on March 12, 1868. 1

At the time of the 1870 census, James was living in Newark, Essex, New Jersey with his parents. 1 the time of the 1910 census, James was living with his family in Southington, Hartford, Connecticut. He was working as a Polisher, and was marked as having been out of work for 12 weeks in 1909. He was able to read and write, and was renting his home. His children at the time were Mae (18), John (16), Howard (11), Nellie (10), James (8), Francis (6), William (3) and Joseph (0). 1 the time of the 1920 census, James was living with his family at 790 South Main Street in Southington, Hartford, Connecticut. He was working as a Polisher at an Iron Foundry. He was able to read and write, and was renting his home. His children living with him at the time were John (25), Howard (23), Nellie (21), James (19), Francis (17), William (14), Joseph (11) and Albert (8). 1

James Donahue died in 1925 in Southington, Hartford, Connecticut, aged 56. 1
