Biography

He is noticed, as deceased, in Ferguson's work[1] in the Marriage Register of the Scots Brigade when his wife appears in a contract of marriage, 10 February 1748, at Den Bommel, South Holland, Netherlands, between Magnus Ross, stated to be a soldier of Major General Marjoribank's Company, and Margaret Balfar, stated to be the widow of John Done, a soldier in Captain Gordon's Company.
