Found that Ellen and Thomas McCann are possibly from the Tyrone Armagh border area of Ulster. That in 1855 they married in Armagh City at the Catholic church. Two children baptised there John and Thomas moved into Belfast during the end of 1850's Lived near StPatricks Catholic Church. Here more children were baptised and in late 1860's they had moved again to Francis Street area in Smithfield Belfast. Last child born was my great grandmother Annie McCann who married Robert Bates in Belfast and converted to Church of Ireland. Thomas McCann is listed as a broker and dealer in Smithfield court Belfast he died in 1902 and was buried in the poor ground of the cemetary. More to add to this shortly
