Biography

Eugene was born in 1871. He was the son of Sarah and Henry Donnelly and is named for Sarah's brother. He passed away in 1939.

The death occurred at his residence, Russell-street, on Sunday afternoon, July 16, of Mr. Eugene Donnelly, a well known resident of Bathurst, at the age of 68 years. He was highly respected throughout Bathurst and district, and was associated with the motor firm of Donnelly Bros, for many years. He had been ailing for some considerable time. The late Mr. Donnelly is survived by one brother, Mr. Thomas Donnelly, of George street, Bathurst, also two sisters. Miss Elizabeth Donnelly (Bathurst), and Mrs. James Crossley (Sofala). Mr. Thomas Donnelly is the only surviving brother of nine. The funeral took place on Mon day morning at 11 o'clock, moving to the Catholic portion of the Bathurst 'Ceme- tery.^[1] Photo of the Donnelly bros garage
