• I had originally stated that John was his middle name. This was incorrect. According to further study, his middle initial turned out to be E., for Eugene, and his youngest son's name is Eugene.

• Michael appears in the 1910 & 1920 Federal Census, in Elmira, N.Y. and he also appears in the 1915 & 1925 State Census, in Elmira, N.Y.

• Both he and his spouse are buried at St's. Peter & Paul's Cemetery, in Elmira, N.Y. There is a double headstone, with the birth and death years shown.
