Biography
James Donovan was born in 1809 in County Cork.[1]
He married Eunice McGowen on 26 Nov. 1840 in New Brunswick.[2][1]
He was a farmer and proprietor when he and Eunice appeared on the census of 1861 at Petersville, Queens, New Brunswick.[3] He was a farmer when he and Eunice appeared on the census of 1871 at Petersville, Queens, New Brunswick.[4] He was a farmer when he and Eunice appeared on the census of 1881 at Petersville, Queens, New Brunswick.[5]
James died after 1881 probably at Petersville, Queens County, New Brunswick and was buried at St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Petersville, Queens County, New Brunswick. His memorial has links to those of family members.[1] His memorial, without a photo of a stone shows 1 Nov. 1877 as his date of death, but as he is in the 1881 census that is an error.
