Jotham M. Doolittle was the son of James Doolittle and Katherine Kindery. He married Elizabeth Ann Richmond in 1872, and after she died, he married Millie Margaret Davis. He immigrated from Ontario, Canada to the United States in 1880, and settled in the Maple Grove District northeast of Winfield, Cowley County, Kansas. He later returned to Canada and settled in Mervin, Saskatchewan, Canada.
At time of 1861 Census, 11 year old, Jotham was living in Yarmouth, Elgin, Canada West. From the sequence of names (relationships not specified) Jotham is living with his father and siblings, Eliza and Emmelia. [2]
