Biography
Claire Dorai was born and baptized on 30 Apr 1807 in Saint-Joachim parish in Châteauguay, Bas-Canada. She was the daughter of Jean Baptiste Dorais, laborer, and his wife Marie Primeau. Godparents at Claire's baptism were Jean Baptiste Primo [sic] and Angelique Mallet. At age 17 Claire married Hyacinthe Vallé on 11 Apr 1825 in Saint-Joachim parish in Châteauguay. There was one known child born into this marriage. Claire died at age 32 on 9 Jul 1839 in Châteauguay.
