He was murdered by his wife's boyfriend. He was on his front Porch when her lover Carmen blasted him in the torso with a double barrel shotgun. Carmen went to prison. Unknown how long?
Willie may not have been mentally challenged but wasn't considered cerebral either. His wife Dessie also had issues. They had no known children.
He had what they call the Dorn double Toes (Webbed). ( When skin goes all the way up both toes). No extra toes just the skin. In this generation I call it web toes, not double toes, most of the kids had the abnormality along with one or both little fingers look like there broken. The finger at the first joint from the hand is at a 20 degree angle or more. The variance sometimes is less. My oldest daughter has the toe thing going on & my grandson has the little finger thing, to less of a degree. My Dad had his right finger at about 45 degrees and Pike-2301 has neither.the abnormality seems to skip geberations because Pike-2301 has no signs of these features.
Bill was buried at Middleburg Cemetery, Middleburg, Casey County Kentucky. [1]
