At the time of the 1892 New York State Census Hilda was living with her parents and siblings in Brooklyn, New York.[2] Hilda was in a similar situation in 1900, but by then she was working as a telephone operator.[3]
Hilda married John Francis Fay on 21 August 1904 in Kings County, New York.[4]
In 1910 Hilda was living with her husband and two sons, John F, age 4 and Donald J, age 0 in Brooklyn.[5]
