DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Joshua by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Joshua:
What is the reliable source for "He died before 3 May 1688 in Anne Arundel County, Maryland."? This is a change from the previously listed date in the biography? It is also not reflected in the death data field.
Thanks for calling this to my attention. I have just cleaned up the profile a little and checked references. I've found no source for an exact date of death. The death had to have occurred between the time the will was made and the time it was proved. I've added a note to clarify that and changed the data field to reflect a "before" date.
