Clyde Edward "Pete" Doss was born on April 7, 1942 in Wells, Cherokee county, Texas.^[1] He was the son of Clyde Doss and Nellie McKnight.^[2]

He married Geraldine Groze (1943-1987) They had 3 children.^[3]

His wife Geraldine passed away on July 31, 1998, in Galveston, Texas, at the age of 43.

He died on April 22, 2017 in Centerville, Trinity county, Texas, and was buried in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Wells, Cherokee county, Texas.^[1]
