Shirley Allen, age 76 died Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Kings Mountain Hospice. Born in Cleveland County she is the daughter of the late James Arthur and Donna Hudgins Dotson . Shirley was a media member of the Jimmy Swaggarts Family Worship Center. She retired as Quality Control from Kemet. She loved flowers, gardening and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Allen Sr.; a son, Robert Allen Jr., and nine brothers and sisters.

Shirley is survived by two daughters, Debbie Braswell of Shelby and Shelia Bell of Kings Mountain.; one brother, Charles Dotson and wife Jane of Jacksonville Florida; five grandchildren, Jennifer Zeidman, Doug Wallace Jr., Katie Bell, Kyle Bell and Robert Allen III; Three great grandchildren, special niece and nephew, Mike Rogers and Millie Rogers both of Shelby and sister in law, Kay Kiser of Shelby.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday August 25, 2015 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Don L. Williams officiating. The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 3:00 until 4; 00. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery .
