Sarah Jane Doty was born on 22 Nov 1828 in Pennsylvania, her father, John Doty and her mother, Sarah Jane (Parsels. She married Thomas Hiday on October 17, 1850, in Green Township, Madison, Indiana. She died on 29 Aug 1902 in Fortville, Vernon Township, Hancock, Indiana and was buried in Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Green Township, Madison County, Indiana.
