Biography

John Gardner Doty was born on December 26, 1918, in Gilead, Ohio, to Goldie Theora Osborn, age 38, and Harley Ansyl Doty, age 40. in 1920, his father was a farmer. ^[1] By 1930, the family was living on Camero Avenue in Los Angeles, California, and his father was working as a carpenter. ^[2] in the 1940 census, John was still single and living at home, he was working as an airplane mechanic. ^[3]

John married Margaret A Judson in California on May 31, 1941, when he was 22 years old. Their daughter, Nancy Gay was born on March 2, 1945, in Glendale, California.

John Gardner Doty died on July 13, 2010, in Santa Maria, California, when he was 91 years old. ^[4]
