Samuel Doubleday was born on 17 March 1851 in Spooner Row, Wymondham, Norfolk. He was the son of Jonathan Doubleday and Rebecca Flowers. He was christened on 14 April 1851 in Attleborough, Norfolk, England.[1]His father was an Agricultural Labourer/Farmer.
Samuel married Mary Ann Wharton on 16 Sep 1873 in Wymondham, Norfolk.[2]They had seven children - William Samuel W DOUBLEDAY (1874 – 1956), Charles Jonathan DOUBLEDAY (1875 – ), Horace Walter DOUBLEDAY (1877 – 1947), Ellen Sarah DOUBLEDAY (1880 – 1969), Rosamund Flowers DOUBLEDAY (1882 – 1971) and Florence Luella DOUBLEDAY
(1883 – 1921)
After Mary Ann died in 1887, Samuel married Bertha Barham on 20 Apr 1889 in Wymondham, Norfolk.[3]They had five further children together - Kate Miriam Doubleday (1889 – 1972), Harry DOUBLEDAY (1890 – 1891),
Frederick Arthur Doubleday (1898 – 1915), Hubert Frost Doubleday (1900 – 1965) and
Margaret Bertha Doubleday (1902 – ).
Charles passed away on 13 February 1929 in Wymondham.[4]
He Died February 13, 1928 in Wymondham, Norfolk, England

I have more information regarding Samuel Doubleday. He was also married to Mary Ann Wharton in 1873 and they had 7 children. Once I am able to edit this will come back and do so :)
