Henri Doucet is a descendant of an Acadian

Henri Jerome Doucet was the son of Sylvain Doucet and Rosalie Marie Cottreau.[1]
He was born July 15, 1836[2] in Tusket Wedge, Nova Scotia[3], and was baptised November 8, 1836 at St. Michael's[2] in Tusket Wedge.[4]
He was a farmer by trade.[3]
He married Philomene Richard, the daughter of Charles Richard and Marie Robichaud, on February 5, 1867 at St.Michael's.[2]
The couple settled into the house he built on the southern stretch of the Main Road in Tusket Wedge[5] where they raised their family of 6 children[2]:

2. Anne Edith born July 30, 1872[7]
3. Rose Edith born October 15, 1873[8]
4. Mathurin Neree born April 17, 1875[9]

Henri Jerome died June 10, 1916[2], and his funeral was held June 11, 1916 at St. Michael's[2] in Wedgeport, Nova Scotia.[4]
