Biography
Augustin was born in 1781, the son of Pierre Doucet and Therese Brignac.[1] The birth record for his daughter Catherine states that his parents were "from Alibamons" - an early name for Alabama. There are records of the Brignac name from Fort Toulouse, so that may have been where Augustin was born.
He married Lise Vige at Opelousas in 1804.
Augustin died about 1830.
