Damien was born about 1846. He was the son of Ange Doucet and Catherine Robichaud. He passed away in 1887. On October 29, 1887, he sailed from Yarmouth for Bermuda. While GSMP lists Doucette as having died on the vessel "Winnie," no such vessel appears in the Yarmouth Archives' shipping index. The "Willie L." described in YH and YR, however, does appear.[1]
