Biography

Note: He is easily confused with Joseph Theodule Doucet, married to Marie Cora Cradeur/Caruthers, who was also living in the same area at the same time.

Theodule Doucet was born on 18 June 1842 and baptized in Opelousas, Louisiana. He was the son of Hubert Doucet (49 years old) and Adrienne Lafleur (44 years old). ^[1]

He married Pauline Roberie on 25 Oct 1865 in Opelousas, Louisiana after receiving a marriage license on 9 Oct 1865. ^[2] They had at least 10 children together.

In 1870, Theodule and his family was living in the household of Francois Doucet (probably his older brother).

Pauline died in 1899.

In 1900, Theodule and two of his children (Arthur and Alice) were living in the household of his sister, Sophie.

He died on 21 December 1934 at the age of 92 and was buried in Washington, Louisiana. ^[3]
