Marie was born about 1753 in Acadie. She is the daughter of Pierre Doucet and Anne Marie Dugas.
Marie and her family are believed to have been among the Acadians who escaped the 1755 Deportation by seizing, with other passengers, the boat Pembroke, which was supposed to transport them from Annapolis Royal to exile in North Carolina. [1]
She passed away on 11 December 1758 in Quebec City. [1]
Marie Maillard acadienne, daughter of Pierre Maillard and Anne Dugas and with a given age of five years, died the night of 11 Dec 1758 and was buried the same day in the cemetery of Notre-Dame-de-Québec, Québec, Canada, Nouvelle-France. [2]
