Jeanne Doucet was born about 1692 in Port-Royal, Acadie, Nouvelle-France, daughter of Laurent Doucet (abt. 1669–bef. 1728) and Jeanne Babin (abt. 1667–aft. 1748).
In 1693, at Port Royal, Jeanne, aged 1, was living with her parents, Laurens [sic] DOUCET, aged 24, and Jeanne BABIN, aged 25, and two half siblings from Jeanne's marriage to Michel RICHARD: Michel, aged 9, and Alexandre, aged 7. Also living with her was her brother, Pierre, aged 3. The family owned 1 gun and had 7 cattle, 6 sheep, and 4 pigs.[1]
Jeanne died on 15 Mar 1733 in Annapolis Royal, Acadie, Colony of Nova Scotia, aged about 40. She was buried the next day at Port Royal. Witnesses were Louis Fontaine, Joseph Mirau and Joseph Babinau.
