Jeanne Doucet was born about 1692 in Port-Royal, Acadie, Nouvelle-France, daughter of Laurent Doucet (abt. 1669–bef. 1728) and Jeanne Babin (abt. 1667–aft. 1748).

In 1693, at Port Royal, Jeanne, aged 1, was living with her parents, Laurens [sic] DOUCET, aged 24, and Jeanne BABIN, aged 25, and two half siblings from Jeanne's marriage to Michel RICHARD: Michel, aged 9, and Alexandre, aged 7. Also living with her was her brother, Pierre, aged 3. The family owned 1 gun and had 7 cattle, 6 sheep, and 4 pigs.[1]

Jeanne (22) married Pierre Lord (32) (born about 1682 in Port-Royale, Acadie; son of Julien (Lord) Lord dit Lamontagne and Anne Charlotte Girouard) on 17 Jun 1715 in Annapolis Royal, Acadie. Their known children were:

  1. Joseph Lord (1716–1746)
  2. Marie Josephe Lord (1718–1796)
  3. Jean Baptiste Lord (1720–1789)
  4. Louis Lord (1722–1781)
  5. Ursule Lord (1725–1813)
  6. Marguerite Lord (1728–1820)
  7. Anne Lord (1730–1763)

Jeanne died on 15 Mar 1733 in Annapolis Royal, Acadie, Colony of Nova Scotia, aged about 40. She was buried the next day at Port Royal. Witnesses were Louis Fontaine, Joseph Mirau and Joseph Babinau.
