Biography

John Doud was born on 28 Aug 1717 in Middletown, Middlesex, colony of Connecticut. He was a son of Jacob Doud and Elizabeth Cornwell.

John Dowd married Rebecca Higbe, 11 Nov 1736. Rebecca, daughter of Edward and Rebecca (Wheeler) Higby, was born 11 July 1715 at Middletown Connecticut. [1] Edward & Rebecca had two daughters named Rebecca, the first born 17 Jan 1713/14 who died 17 Apr 1714. [2]

Rebeckah Dowd married Joseph Blake 25 Sep 1746 as his 2nd wife. Rebeckah Blake married Joseph Wetmore 12 Oct 1761 as his 2nd wife. " And though neither Blake nor Wetmore marriage records indicated she was a widow, the net result is that Rebecca Higby ended up as the wife of Joseph Wetmore, which is exactly how she was named in the will of her father written 13 June 1766 (Middletown Probate #1732)." [1]

He passed away on 3 Sep 1745 in Middletown, Middlesex, colony of Connecticut.[3]
