Research Notes
Do not conflate this son of Ebenezer 1st., with a son of David Doud, b. 1740. Following Dowd (1885), p.15, the father of this Ebenezer 2d (1744-1805) is Ebenezer 1st (1707-1789).
From Dowd (1885), pp. 4, 6 & 13: 20. David Doud (1695-1749; m. 1718 Mary Cornwell) lived in Middletown CT. They had a son Ebenezer, b. 1740. Ebenezer (b. 1740) had the following children: Elihu (1765-1835; Isaac; Phebe, and one more daughter.
From Dowd (1885), pg. 8 : "Generation V. 51. Ebenezer (1707-1789; son of Thomas 2d and Silence (Evarts) Doud) made his residence on Liberty Street, or that part of Madison, Conn., known as Hammonassett. ... No stone has been found to mark his grave." He divided his lands in his will to his sons Timothy and Ebenezer 2d. No record of the maiden name of his wife. The children of Ebenezer 1st were:

From Find-A-Grave (unsourced): "Ebenezer Doud was a direct descendant of Henry Doude, one of the followers of Rev. Henry Whitfield who came from England and settled Guilford, Connecticut. Henry Doude was one of the signers of the Guilford Covenant in June 1639. Ebenezer was a farmer. His father, also named Ebenezer, gave him a homestead in Hammonasset where he raised his family of eight boys."

Pg. 15: #201. Ebenezer, 2nd, in the division of lands of his father, received the homestead in Hammonassett where he raised his family of eight boys. Ebenezer was a farmer. He was an officer in the Revolutionary War, and was in the war about seven years. His hardships in war brought on the rheumatism, which incapacitated him for labor from many years before his death."
