Marie Svedahl's DNA has been tested for genealogical purposes. It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Marie or other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA.
Mitochondrial DNA test-takers in the direct maternal line:
Marie (Doughty) Svedahl:
Family Tree DNA mtDNA Test Full Sequence, haplogroup H1c15, FTDNA kit #412008
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share DNA with Marie:
Marie, you are my mother's eighth cousin, and - even better! - you are in my maternal grandfather's direct maternal line. I am so pleased to know he probably shares your mtDNA haplogroup. Thank you so much for testing and adding your info to WikiTree!
Thanks again for removing the Mrs. prefix from Evelina Harman Lang. The WikiTree member who added it is just new so I thought I would give her the policy location discouraging the Mr., Mrs. or Miss.. All I found was a G2G question that I had posed a while ago and there does not seem to be an official policy. I agree with you though that its really not necessary. Just wanted to let you know in case she decides to put it back on again.
Hi Marie, I see that you’ve entered ‘confirmed with DNA’ for the relationships between many of your ancestors. Would you please explain on each profile for each of the relationships ‘confirmed with DNA’ how you used DNA to confirm that relationship. Here is an explanation of how to do that: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/DNA_Confirmation
Let me know if you need any help. Thanks!
