Biography

Aunt Nola was the 8th of 11 children. After she married her sister Zelma's widower, Everett Chastain, Aunt Nola would hold big family Sunday dinners for extended family. We loved going to the farm in Walnut Grove, MO, not too far from our home in Springfield. After dinner, she would cover all the food on the table with another tablecoth, then we would eat the leftovers for supper. She taught me a life-long skill of solitaire to entertain myself.
