Robert Wiley and Susan Douglas were married 5 Apr 1841 in Bath County, Virginia.[1]
Robert and Susan Wiley resided in Highland County, Virginia in 1850 with children. The census stated that the youngest son Robert was born in Highland County, but the parents and other children were born in Bath County, Virginia.[2]
According to the 1900 census, James Terry and Susan were married about 1856. James and Susan Terry resided in Highland County, Virginia in the census from 1860 to 1900. In 1860, the family consisted of five children of Susan and Robert Wiley as well as their son (listed as Harrison in 1860, but as Howard in other years). In 1870, the family consisted of two Wiley children as well as Howard Terry. In 1880, familysearch and ancestry have transcribed the surname as Tovey (because of the slanted "rr"); the family consisted of James, Susan and Howard. In 1900, elderly parents James and Susan resided with son Howard. Widowed Susan resided with son Howard and family in 1910 in Highland County, Virginia.[3]
Susan E Terry died 11 or 13 Aug 1914 and was buried in Old Wesley Cemetery, Mustoe, Highland County, Virginia. The tombstone says: Our mother Susan E, wife of James M Terry, born January 20 1825, died August 13 1911.[4]
