Rex was born in 1928. He was the son of Garland Douglas and Bess Turner. He passed away in 1985. According to my father, Champ Clark Douglas, Garland and Bess lived in the schoolhouse up the path and across from the orchard for a time, and that's where Rex was born. (Interview, Champ C. Douglas, 1989)
