Margaret Douglas was the eldest daughter of James Douglas 3rd Earl of Morton and Catherine Stewart, an illegitimate daughter of King James IV of Scotland.[1]
Margaret married James Hamilton 3rd Earl of Arran about 23 September 1532[2][3]
James Hamilton died in Hamilton, Lanarkshire on 22 January 1572/3, but Margaret survived him and was still alive in 1579.[2]
