Frederic Douglas-Hamilton is a member of Clan Douglas.

Frederic Douglas-Hamilton was a member of the aristocracy in British Isles.

Frederic Douglas-Hamilton was born on 12 May 1815 and was baptised on 13 July 1815 at St George, Hanover Square, London, Westminster^[1]. He was the fifth son of Augustus Barrington Price Powell Hamilton and his wife Maria Catherine Hyde.

He married Marina Norton (the daughter of James Norton) on 25 February 1843.

They had the following children:

1. Frederick Robert Vere Douglas-Hamilton (b. 7 Dec 1843, d. b 1918)
2. Annie Marina Augusta Douglas-Hamilton (b. 23 Oct 1845, d. 9 Oct 1900)
3. Lieutenant Augustus Maitland Ronald Douglas-Hamilton (b. 2 Sep 1847, d. 1906)

5. Frederica Rose Douglas-Hamilton (b. 1854, d. 30 Nov 1854)
6. Augusta Caroline Octavia Douglas-Hamilton (b. 12 Oct 1856, d. 24 Mar 1929)
7. Captain Archibald Douglas Schomberg Douglas-Hamilton (b. 1 Oct 1861, d. 22 Jan 1908)

He held the office of Minister Resident and Consul-General to Ecuador.

Frederic died on 15 May 1887 at age 72^[2].

HIs Will was proved on 24 June 1887 at the Principal Registry by Frederick Robert Vere Douglas-Hamilton, his son and Christopher Lethbridge of 25 Abingdon Street, Westminster, Solicitor, the Executors. Personal Estate £6,864 13s. 7d.
