Biography

George was born in 1869. He was the son of Daniel and Livonia (McLaine) Douglass.

George married Miranda (Sibley) Folsom on Feb 7, 1906 in Lincoln, Maine.^[1]

He passed away in 1951. George was buried at Mount Repose Cemetery Burlington, Maine. ^[2]

Obituary

GEORGE DOUGLASS; LOWELL, Oct. 29-George Douglass, 82, died Monday at a Bangor hospital after a brief illness. Born in Lowell, he was the son of Calbert and Lavonia McLean Douglass and was a member of Lowell grange. Surviving are a brother, Chandler Douglass of Lowell, a niece and a nephew. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m., at the Burlington church with Rev. Violet Bagley officiating. Burial will be in Mount Repose cemetery, Burlington. Friends may call at the Barton funeral home, Lincoln, until Wednesday noon.^[3]
