Charles William Doust was born on the 21st December 1856[1] and baptised on the 14th January 1857 at St. Alphege, Greenwich, Kent, England, the son of John William Doust[2] (waterman) and Eliza Doust of Billingsgate Street[1]
On the 7th November 1880. Charles married Martha Taylor at St. Peter, Greenwich, Kent, England. Charles Doust, bachelor, waterman of 14 Clarence Street, son of John William Doust (Pier Master); and Martha Taylor, spinster, daughter of James Henry Taylor (Brewer). Witnessed by Richard Doust and Mary Doust[2]
