Charlotte Marie Dove Cullers, 87, of Broadway, died Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg.
She was born Aug. 11, 1929, in Fulks Run, and was the daughter of the late Roy E. and Rosie Violet Carr Dove.
Charlotte was a homemaker, the mother of six children and the central hub of her family. Her unwavering value system directed her life. She had an insightful and intuitive mind. She was strong, yet very sweet. She loved living and had many interests throughout the seasons of her life. She enjoyed working in her beautiful flower beds and loved animals, especially her cats, Patch and Socks. She loved writing poetry, which reflected her life and her memories. However, the heartbeat of her life was her family. She was a faithful prayer warrior and prayed daily for each individual family member and was personally involved in their lives. She was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church, wrote a book about the church history and taught Sunday school for many years. She will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends and neighbors. Though she's now in heaven, the impact of her life on Earth will live on.
On Feb. 7, 1946, she married Warren Harding Cullers, who preceded her in death on Aug. 10, 1997.
Surviving are daughters, Ellen Kay Branner of Timberville, Frances Cullers McGehee and husband, Tom, of Annandale, Deborah Cullers Brosius and husband, Dana, of Argentina, and Denise Cullers Janocka and husband, Joe, of Cross Keys; sons, Keith W.
