- Richard Melvin Dow (Rick Dow) was born to Leonard and Alice Dow on January 24, 1958 in Decorah, Iowa.
Early Life
- Kindergarten at West Side Elementary School in Decorah, Iowa.
- Grades 1-6 at St. Benedict's Catholic School in Decorah, Iowa.
- Grades 7-9 at Decorah Junior High School.
- Grades 10-12 at Decorah High School (a.k.a. Thomas Roberts school.) Graduated in 1976.
- University of Wisconsin at Madison. Graduated with Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1979

- Married Rita May Wigglesworth on May 19, 1985 in Fort Collins, Colorado. Rita died March 14, 2012. No children.
