Biography

James Dow was born in Nova Scotia, Canada in 1761 or earlier.[1] He was the son of an immigrant to Canada who may have been named Robert Dow.[1]

According to "The Book of Dow," no records have been found relating to him except a family record that says that he had the following sons:[2]

  2. William
  3. Robert
  4. Daniel
