He was baptised on the 2nd August 1896 in Camden St John the Evangalist, Red Lion Square. [5]
He is listed in the 1911 census as being onboard Arethusa, a naval training ship founded to train destitute children. [6]
His military service started on the 7th February 1912, with his first ship served on being HMS Ganges and his last ship served on being HMS Defence. [4]
He passed away on the HMS Defence during war service on the 31st May 1916. [2][7]
