George Henry Dower married Ruby Sylvia Gaudion, daughter of Thomas Gaudion and Mary Helena Mitchell, on 21 December 1935 at Methodist Church, Woori Yallock, Victoria, Australia.

He passed away in 1989, aged 78.[2] Probate 1016763 28P 10/000271 George Henry Dower died on 10 September 1989 at Mitcham, Victoria, Australia, at age 78
