Margaret was the daughter and coheir of Robert Downes of Shrigley, co Chester, esq.[1]
Margaret married Nicholas Snede of Bradwell.[1] Bradwell was in Nantwich hundred, Cheshire, England. Nicholas was the son of Richard Snede of Bradwell and his wife, Agnes, the daughter of — (john?) de Sutton, co Chester.[1]
Margaret and Nicholas had children:
William Snede of Bradwell and of Chester, citizen, alderman and mayor of the city, 19 Edward IV [4 March 1479-3 March 1480, see Regnal Calendar], living in 4 Henry VII [22 August 1488-21 August 1489, see Calendar], who married Joan or Alice, daughter and heir of Roger Ledsham of Chester, mayor of the city;[1]
Nicholas was living in 23 Henry VI [1 September 1444-31 August 1445, see Calendar] and 1473.[1]
