Biography
When Virgie Mae Downey was born on August 26, 1889, in Texas, her father, William, was 32, and her mother, Melissa, was 23. She married Henry M. Howard (1886–1982) on November 12, 1905, in Carter, Oklahoma.[1] They had six children:
- Cecil Arthur (1906–1941)
- H. Audley F. (1909–1971)
- Earl Richard (1913–1973)
- Celestine (1916–2002)[2]
- Jewel Pauline (1919–2016)
- Joyce Valine (1927–1961)
She died on January 26, 1958, at the age of 68, and was buried in Love, Oklahoma.[3]
