She married Stephen Bartlett in Haverhill, Massachusetts, on December 27, 1883.
Beck Nally writes, "After Stephen and Louisa were married they all went to Minnesota where their daughter Mildred (my aunt) and Hollis Manning (my dad) were born. I think that they went west and acquired a lot of land under the Homestead Act. The timing was right. They gave up and came back to Mass. 'Ed and Steve' got jobs in shoe factories in Haverhill."
According to the 1910 census, Louisa became a US citizen in 1890.
Louisa passed away in Groveland, Massachusetts, in 1942 at the age of 80. She is bured in Griffith Cemetery, Groveland, MA [1].
