Communication Preferences:
I am interested in communicating with
cousins and anyone else with an interest in genealogy.
Here is my family tree.Ancestors
Born in northern Idaho, raised in Seattle & Nampa, married very, very young.
I am the proud mother of two incredibly talented sons. One an animated graphic design artist, the other a Chef - I've over heard both described in their unique talents as *BADASS*. And I could not be any prouder of either. My oldest son just gave me my very first grand child - SAGE - the product of two master cooks, ~wink~. I am a transplanted TEXAN, but a native *SPUD* (born in Lewiston, Idaho; raised in Parma, Idaho; Seattle, Washington; & Nampa, Idaho).
My family had closed ranks around me as a child, I knew very little of any relatives that might exist outside my front door. I am so very glad to have met some of my wonderful cousins, that I would have never realized, even down the stretch of TEXAS road ~ with a Gibson name, to a Gibson Cemetery that is FULL of folks I never knew had any consanguinity. Thanks to every one of you...

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Debra or other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Debra:
Our deepest condolences on Kelli's passing. We've closed the account. Once that processes, you'll be able to update the details on the profile. You will most likely also need to update the certainty buttons on the death date and place fields in order to update the death details and privacy settings. We'd recommend not using an earlier draft if you had one saved, as it will attempt to reopen the account.
Hi Debra! Missy told me the great news that you wanted to join our Gedcom Scrap Team! I'll get you added to the team list on the team page and I think Missy is working on getting you added to Google groups. Let me know if you have any questions once you've read over the team page, which is here, Nordic Project - Gedcom Scrap Team. Feel free to click on a Gedcom name in the table at the bottom and dive right in!
Wow, I found a new, "close" cousin. Ran the relationship finder as you suggested and we are 16th cousins. Ha. Most of my mother's family came in the 1600's so I do get back to 1500's occasionally, but not the 1400's very often. Not much hope of DNA connecting that far back. :)
See you mention Quakers. My Hoover line was Quaker from Switzerland. You also mention Norse. Snakker du Norsk? Jeg er fro New Norway (North Dakota).
Hi Debra, noted that you added my Uncle and one of his children to the Wikitree database this week. Should you be looking for additional info, I would be happy to help out.
Feel free to adopt it & improve on it. Quite frankly, I'm not sure if he was added as a descendant of a Civil War soldier, or a Norwegian relative, or from any of the friends I help with their tree branches. Do you know about the "relationship" finder, in the "find" pull down? Put in his Luithly-# & my downs-977 to see if we are related.
Hi Debra, we are 8th cousins! Our connection is through my “southern” family. I was born and raised in New York, but my maternal grandfather’s family is in the south.
Yep, we’re 9th cousins. Through our common gr grandmother, Frances (Wimarke) Nichols bef. 1577 to abt. 1634. She died In England before family immigrated. She is your tenth and my eighth great. I think that’s really great. Love finding these “ didn’t know I had” cousins. Lula Tuttle Sinnott. A Texan transplanted to NM.
Helllo Debra...we are 11th cousins share 10th great grandma Anna Warren Little and of course our 11th great grandpa Mayflower 'stranger/adventurer ' Richard Warren. It would seem he left the wife and kiddies at home on his Mayflower trip and they came later when he became settled. 'They' also say that his descendants are the most numerous,,,but I am just repeating genealogical gossip,,,have not researched it.
So Hannah and Abigail( sisters )were sitting around one day shelling peas or discussing boys or whatever and they said,,,,wouldn't it be cool if one day our 9th great granddaughters got together and remembered us,,,,,
......and here we are Debra....I always say the more 'greats' there are ...the greater it is that we have found them as opposed to linear thinking that equates the prefix 'great' to distance and separation.
So my dear cousin Debra it's been, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, talking to you,,,,have a blessed day
Maggie
