Thomas Dowrish the Younger (b. ca. 1423) may have married (1st) to an unknown wife (who was mother of son Richard Dowrish). Thomas would have then married (2nd) to Margaret Reke/Ryke, who probably had no children (her heir seems to have been a Reke nephew). Thomas married in 1477 to Alice Stawell, and they had a daughter Elizabeth.
Thomas was Recorder of Exeter from 1468 until his death in 1483. As the Recorder of Exeter, in 1470 he complimented King Edward IV in a speech after that king had entered the City of Exeter in pursuit of the Duke of Clarence.
Thomas Dowrish the Younger was the son of Thomas (born c 1401; died 1464), son of Richard (born c 1371), son of Thomas (born c 1341), son of Thomas (born c 1311), son of William (born c 1281), son of John (born c 1261), son of William (born c 1241), son of Thomas (born c 1221) and Eleanor de Helion.
