John F. Doyle was born in Lloydtown in 1896 He was the son of Bernard Doyle and Maria Casserly.

He enlisted at Winnipeg in January 1916. Regimental Number: 186343 Date of Birth: 1896-09-03 Next of kin Brother Frank Doyle Ottawa, Ontario, He was a farmer in Viking, Alberta. He served in France with 27th Battalion. He married Rose MacKell in Ottawa in 1927.
